I had a great time last weekend in vegas. I only stayed 3 nights and wife and I spent at least $150 in taxis shuttling us around town. and we walked at least 12 miles while there. but $15 from the mandalay to TI is kinda steep. oh well. worth it.

Two words for ya: Rental Car! You%26#39;re from a bigger city than I am (Chicago) so Vegas traffic shouldn%26#39;t be that intimidating. Three days with a mid-size would%26#39;ve been well under a $100 with most of the internet deals out there. Well, I hope you had a good time just the same, but there%26#39;s no way I%26#39;d shell out that much.

Of course, if you are drinking, taxis are the way to go. They%26#39;re much cheaper than a lawyer and bail money.

The other alternative is public transportation. I%26#39;m used to it being from Chicago, so don%26#39;t mind the wait. It%26#39;s very slow on the Strip buses(45min. from Fremont St to middle of Strip), but if you don%26#39;t mind some ';interesting'; people and areas, it%26#39;s an event in and of itself.
