Received an offer from Aladdin for $49.00 1st night, second free. Can%26#39;t pass it up. Have not stayed there since 1993
I know a lot of people have posted about this place, wht with the changes going on, but my real question is:
What is the best area to ask for in the room arrangements, mainly away from the construction noise. I am a very bad sleeper to begin with, so any additional noise would be bothersome. I am atypically a morning person (out %26amp; about arond 6:00 a.m.) and by midnight ready to call it a day.
When I called to make reservation, she told me to check in at the VIP Lounge. Is there really a difference.
Staying at Aladdin 11/20 - 11/22 then checking into WYNN for one night. Recieved a rate of $109.00 per night with $100 credit.
Any advice would be most welcome.
Aladdin - same old questions
From our stay in May and from all reviews I%26#39;ve read since, noise is not an issue in the rooms. Construction is primarily in the public areas of the hotels... in your room you don%26#39;t really see or hear it. Ask for a higher up room (the pool is on 6th) and for one with a view of the Bellagio fountains. We had a resort room with a great Paris/Fountain view. No noise to speak of, and enormous room/bathroom. Well worth what we paid.
VIP check-in is for the Starwood Gold and up guests, it%26#39;s generally a shorter line, which is always nice in Vegas.
Just rec%26#39;d the same offer myself. If we didn%26#39;t already have plans for 4 nights at the Venetian I would have snatched it up.
Enjoy your trip!

How did you the Wynn rate?
Thanks Laurasue for the info. I am not a member of Starwood (don%26#39;t even know what chain they are). But I was told to check in there, so I%26#39;ll try it and see what happens.
llstrange - I%26#39;ve stayed at Wynn a couple of times before. First time I stayed there, it was a comped room, which apparently were offered to any guest getting the ';Red Card'; and gambling a bit. The free room offer came after I got my red card (was not staying there at the time) just went to gamble.
Depending on how much you gamble, room offers will vary with the amount of free credit.
I stayed at the Aladdin 2 weeks ago. There was plenty of construction going on in the casino. There was also a funny sign in the room that said, if you like privacy, keep your curtains closed as there is maintenance on the outside of the building being done !
I did not see any outside maintenance other than street level. I never heard any noise from my room. My main complaint was that I was in the south tower, and our elevators were shut down. So, we had to walk the entire length of the floor to get to the north tower elevators, only to trek back to the south side to get to where we wanted to be inside the casino.
So, noise wise, that was never an issue...but going to the Desert Passage to get coffee in the morning, and bring it back to the room would take about 20-25 minutes.
I found it very quick to get to the strip, restaurants, and Desert Passage from the elevator. The room as nice
I went to 7-11 south of Aladdin for coffee, it was a short walk
bonsmom, consider signing up for the Starwood Points program before you go... www.starwoodhotels.com. It%26#39;s good for Sheraton, Westin, and Le Meridien hotels to name a few.
Thanks all for the info.
The sign about keeping your curtains closed was certainly necessary in May! We were on the 34th floor and a guy went past the window in a basket. He spotted my husband in his under crackers and exclaimed, ';Woah! Naked dude!'; I nearly died laughing!
It was the time they were painting the outside that horrible blue colour. Delighted to see last week that the blue had gone. A result!
Just got back two days ago. In the front of the casino, they are working on that whole sidewalk area but not at night or that early in the morning. Where you have to go for valet/taxi is kind of underground and in order to get to the hotel check in, you have to take a kind of service backway to get to the elvator. In the casino, there%26#39;s a temporary wall where the tables are on the first floor and that%26#39;s pretty much it. No big deal. Hell there more construction going on in the Bellagio than the Aladdin.
