Arrived at CP at 3pm,checked in and changed from an Palace Tower room to an Augustus tower room with a nice view of the Bellagio fountains. Was going to use the $20 trick but didn%26#39;t need to as the desk gal in the Diamond check-in found a room right away when I said I didn%26#39;t care if it had 1 bed or 2..being willing to accept 2 queens has worked to our advantage before as I guess all the King room go first. Tipped her $10 anyway.
The room was beautiful and very spacious. I haven%26#39;t stayed in CP since the days of '; Roman'; decor in the rooms...they are so much nicer!
Gambled for a few hours then went with our friends to check-in to where they were staying-Hilton Vacation Condos(or someting like that..timeshare thing)...decent looking complex behind the LV Hilton. Walked over to the Hilton and gambled there a bit. Hubby hit a royal flush at the Tempo bar :o) pretty much the only gambling luck we would have the whole trip. I have been going to Vegas for 20 years now and I swear the machines get tighter every year!! Definately the VP pay-off schedules are getting tighter at all Harrahs owened properties :o( UGH!
Used the monorail to get back to CP. I love this addition to LV as driving around the strip is always a pain in the butt! We got off at the Harrahs stop and gambled there a bit and then walked back.
Had Augustus Cafe for breakfast...good food and service. Gambled the day away. Played a little poker at the Caesars poker room. Its a very nice room with decently skilled players but very queit room- almost hushed feeling. No real banter at the like I%26#39;m use to here at home (Hawaiian Gardens casino regular)
Walked up strip and ate at PF Changs at Aladdin..... I know a cheesy chain resturant.....but we like it and the closest one to our home is 30 minutes away so we only get there every now and then.
anyway good food but realllllllly slow service and no apology or even a reason when asked where the appetizers were 30 minutes after ordering!
Walked to MGM Grand from there for the Rolling Stones concert...it was great and Mick at 62 has more energy than most 20 y/os! MGM was very crowded but I guess thats to be expected on a concert night.
Used the monorail to get back...got off at he Bally/Paris station to try some gambling there and damn that is a long walk from the monorail station into the casino..almost could have walked the strip in the same time...but at least it was inside as it was a bit cold out. No luck here either. Gotta get away from Harrahs properties but its hard when comped for all there...but seems the more they own the tighter they are!
Gambled Sunday and then drove home. A good weekend with a fun concert.
don%26#39;t have a next trip planned yet...gotta start working on that!
Trip report 11/10-11/12 Caesars
Nice trip report Udamom I also agree on the Harrahs properties being tight on the machines but I do like the comps.

Jacktar, I know it is hard to get away from Harrahs when they are so good about giving free rooms and food etc. It just seems harder and harder to get a win at any of their properties though so will have to think about trying different casinos...the rooms are nice but when you play enough to actually pay for the room prices I guess its not such a good deal!
have you tried any other players clubs? the ones I have tried have never seemed to give anywhere close to the comps of Harrahs.....
