Does anyone ever win at Slots anymore?

The Slot Machines have been draining my bank account dry. I%26#39;ve played at the Gold Coast, the Palms, Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn and Rio. I%26#39;ve played $1s, $5s, 25 cents, and penny machines. They all seem to be taking the money in and not spitting any back out. What%26#39;s going on? Why are the machines so tight lately? If I%26#39;m lucky I might get 20% of my money back after 2 to 3 hours of playing. Has anyone had any luck playing Slots lately?

Yes, the casino always wins. Always have, always will.

I don%26#39;t think the percentage the machines pay out have necessarily changed I just think you are on a bad run. Maybe switch to video poker or black jack where you have better chances?

';What%26#39;s going on?';

Welcome to the wonderful world of gambling Pandora! Ever wondered how those new Vegas hotel get built.....?

slots has never paid well for the player - they have a VERY high house edge. They are designed to take your money quicker than any other game

slots is not gambling

I am in the same boat as you although I stick to lower denomination slots and craps. I%26#39;ve gone with my wife at least 15 times in the last 10 years for about a week each time. The best I ever did is come home -$200. You just might be on a long bad streak or you need to adjust your money management system if you only have 20% (or less) of what you started with after 2-3 hours of gambling. The only ';slots'; you MAY come out a winner in on a constant basis (if you include cashback, lots of royals, all the stuff the casino gives you, etc.) might be with expert play at the highest possible percentage VP machines. Anyways, slot machines are specifically made to win about 5% to 15% of all the money that is put into them in the long term. You have to put in your mind that you are paying for a recreational activity rather than go with the expectation of winning if you play only slots. There are only a few casino games I can think of where you can have an expectation of winning, such as poker, sports betting, and card counting at blackjack. However, even then, you need to be really good at what you are doing and have the most favorable gambling conditions (such as liberal blackjack rules).

As blagger said ';how are all the hotels getting built'; and why do you think Vegas has some of the best value hotel rooms in the country.

Any body who goes to Vega and gambles and expects to win is fooling themselves.

As was said all you are doing is paying for recreational activity and the best you can hope for is a run for your money.

The gamblers elp subsidise the cheap ro rates for those who dont gambe ,but go to vegas to shop, see shows, hightlife, and wander around all the fabulous attractions.

Just my tuppence worth.

I used to play slots all the time. I love the slots but....

I just couldn%26#39;t win at them.

I switched to video poker a few years ago and you have a much better chance playing that than the regular slots. I%26#39;ve been pretty lucky playing VP.

Although~ those darn wheel of fortune machines still get to me every once in awhile!

How can you find out the house edge on slots and VP? VP here is the biggest rip-off with as much as a 28% house edge!

Like the others say, slots are the worst odds in Vegas.

But to answer your first question. Yes, people do win. I%26#39;ve been to Vegas twice this year. I%26#39;ve found it easier to win at the local casinos. I was at South Point when I won. The minute I got to the strip, I lost. Didn%26#39;t do too bad at Sun Coast either.

Try video poker, it has some of the best slot odds.

The minute you expect to win a slot machine, you are definately opening Pandora%26#39;s box.

Rarely. Slots pay the bills.
