Getting married in Las Vegas!

My fiance and I have decided to get married in las vegas in 2008....anyone got any ideas????

Getting married in Las Vegas!

Yes- but first, are you thinking of a big event in a fancy hotel chapel with lots of guests, or are you thinking more of a true Vegas style wedding for just the two of you.... in other words one of the less expensive Vegas chapels?

If you are thinking of the second, may I recommend Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. It is sort of on the strip but up above Stratosphere. You can have any theme you want, or no real theme, and they have a chapel, and a Do Wop Diner to be married in... and usually they will offer one of two free deals. You can have one free night there (that%26#39;s what I took) or a complementary Limo ride from whichever hotel you are staying at to the chapel. Its kinda cool, too, because as soon as you get married, your names go up in lights on this big marquee (great photo op).

Getting married in Las Vegas!

Hey! Thanks for your reply we are still getting ideas at the moment, we only decided in Cuba last week!! We are inviting friends and family so think that there will be probably 15-20 people with us at the most depending on who can afford it. I think we will go for the smaller venue - nothing overly tacky but fun most of all! There are some good articles on this site for ideas, but I will look at what you said too. I take it you got married there then???

Im so excited shame I have 1.5 years to wait!

Yes, I did... had a lot of fun, but no guests. If we had had guests, it would have been a whole lot of fun too. They make it so it can be viewed online by friends at home and also give you a DVD of it all. But, that is only one perspective, I am curious what others say. My whole thing probably cost $350

Oh really thats fantastic! I will check out those venues you mentioed and ask you any other questions once I have had a look thank you!

Hi,

I think it is a gret idea!!!! My fiance and I are getting married in Bellagio (Las Vegas) in April 2007. We are having around 50 guests traveling from all over US and UK for our wedding.

I think if you are looking for a very stylish wedding, Bellagio is the best (Not saying that the rest are not). They have different wedding packages ranging from $1500 to $15000. depending on what you want.

We were visiting California tis summer and we drove to Las Vegas for a day to check the hotel. The staff are really nice too. If you are thinking of having your rception there too, you need to speak to the catering of the hotel. the reception would be a minimum of $100 per person.

Even though you are miles away from there you can still arrange everything via phone and email.

Good Luck!

Hiya

I dont think we are going to get married in one of the big hotels but that is not to say that we wont all stay in one of the well known grand hotels! But I think I would prefer the actual ceremony in one of the little venues more personal and Las Vegas-ish!! In my opinion anyway....

good luck with your wedding!

Thanks!

Good luck for you too! make sure you do your research, otherwise there are a lot of tacky places in vegas too! Make sure you get to see the place befor arranging anything.

Remember it is your special day so you don%26#39;t want to get disapointed.

Hi Ellabfm,

We%26#39;re getting married next month at A Special Memory Chapel. We did alot of investigating before we picked this chapel (there are loads of them). I thought some of the hotels were a bit pricey but it all depends on your budget. We wanted to keep our money for spending in Vegas. Good luck with your plans and congratulations!

Hi,

We got married at the Forever Grand Chapel at the MGM Grand. It was lovely and not at all tacky - very professional service and US wedding cakes are wonderful. We had about 20 guests in total and had a perfect day. The hotel has lots of different packages available.

We%26#39;ve already recommended the venue to friends and they got married there in 2004. It was great as we got to see the service as guests rather than as Bride and Groom - which does all go by in a bit of a blur.

Good luck and best wishes!

Jo

Congratulations! We got married last month at the Bellagio on their terrace overlooking the fountains and it was wonderful. Luxor and Venetian also have lovely chapels, and Graceland, Little Church of the West and Little Chapel of the Flowers really stood out among the independent chapels.

The website below lets you search every wedding package in Las Vegas by cost and theme/traditional wedding las-vegas-weddings.co.uk/weddings/browse/def… and it also has details on every one of the 71 chapels.

Also, but the book %26#39;Neon Nuptials%26#39; available via Amazon - the reviews are very honest.

Good luck!
