Staying in west wing room in two weeks. Have been trying to figure out if there are safes in the room. Can%26#39;t find any info. Can someone who has stayed there let me know if there is one or not? Also if there isn%26#39;t can you leave valuables at front desk in a safe?
Thanks

MGM safeseven if a safe is in the room don%26#39;t use - they are not foolprrof.
MGM has safety deposit boxes, no charge, available 24/7. the only true safe way to go. don%26#39;t lose the key - replacement cost usually $50.
MGM safesThis has got me thinking!! (Doesn%26#39;t happen often!)
I am staying at Mirage in Feb and assumed that the in-room safes were safe. If this is not the case then I will certainly use the saftey deposit boxes. I am assuming that Mirage also has them as any good hotel should.
Stayed in MGM west wing rooms in June and yes they definitely have a safe.
thanks for the info. I have used in room safes at Bally%26#39;s on last 3 occasions and never had a problem. I find that if i leave a little money (travellers checks) in the safe I don%26#39;t spend it as fast as when I keep it with me. Although if I was comming to vegas with very large amounts of cash I might want to use safe deposit box at front desk.
Thanks again

we%26#39;ve always used the safe at Paris with no problems.
They are not key safes though. You have to put in your own code.
I stayed at the MGM%26#39;s Bungalow Suites and they do not have safes. I hid my money in my shoe. Foolproof!

Was just at MGM last weekend and yes there was a safe that you put in your own code, just remember your code.
As everyone so far has confirmed, MGM has in-room safes. While they are not fool proof, I have never had any problems at any hotel.
I%26#39;ve personally not had problems with the in room safes either. Last year friends visiting Aruba entered their room to find a local exiting through their slider, with their safe in his arms. Now, as long as your safe is well-attached, it should be fine. Locking stuff up in your suitcase is futile, because if someone can access your room, they can easily exit with suitcase in tow.
