BC at $120 1 night
Bally%26#39;s $149 1 night
I hear it is noisy at BC. And what about that deposit policy??
Bally%26#39;s has that long walk before you even get in the place.
BC is so close %26amp; has those plasma TVs.
Bally%26#39;s has Paris.
Give me your thoughts please.
Dates are March 27-29, 2 nights
Barbary Coast vs. Bally'sbarbary coast not best for light sleepers, even in back on flamingo side you have there hvac units on 24/7
Barbary Coast vs. Bally'sNever stayed at Barbary Coast...but we do like to spend time there...fun place! Stayed at Ballys last time....nothing to write home
about....and to get to Paris...you have to walk 20 miles...lol..so don%26#39;t factor that into your decision. Good Luck and Have Fun!
BC gets a good write up in TA.
But personally spend a few dollars more and go to Ballys.
And the walk to Paris is not that long.
Bally%26#39;s is a far better property, but for one night in March does it really matter that much? I%26#39;ll answer that: no.
FWIW, I don%26#39;t understand why people like those wide screen plasma TVs. The picture is totally distorted. I was watching golf at South Coast and I thought Phil Mickelson was John Daly, he looked so fat on screen. Unless you%26#39;re watching something expressly produced for widescreen, the picture is horrible.
Also FWIW, wrong on that ';Paris is 20 miles away'; comment. It%26#39;s a very short walkway between hotels. If fact, from Bally%26#39;s North Tower, the walk to Paris%26#39; buffet is only a few steps longer than the walk to Bally%26#39;s buffet, I%26#39;m not kidding.
Bally%26#39;s is a nicer property, bigger rooms, more amenities, more things to do on-site. I%26#39;d pay the extra $29. However, it depends what%26#39;s important to you. If all you want from a hotel is someplace to crash, or if walking is uncomfortable for you and you want someplace that is right smack on the Strip, then BC is a good choice.
Bally%26#39;s used to be the ';place'; to visit in good old days.
The only advantage BC has is the location.
If you are looking to save few dollars then go to BC, otherwise, bally%26#39;s has everything, shops, restaurants, nicer rooms and so on.
If you are going to walk all day from one casino to the next, why does the few hundred yards of walking at Bally%26#39;s bother you?
That should not be a factor
At Bally%26#39;s casino, at least you can breath. can%26#39;t say that for BC, and I am a smoker!!!
Even though, I think the place is haunted, I would still go w/Bally%26#39;s.
whaddyaaa mean haaauunttteeddd??? We are checking into Bally%26#39;s on Sunday, should I be scared?! ;)
Geoff-
December, 1980: Over 80 people died when Ballys was known as the original MGM Grand. The same building still stands, after multi-million dollars%26#39; worth of repairs were made, including state-of-the-art fire supression equipment. It became Ballys around 1989-1990 or so when the new MGM was done on Tropicana.
I stayed at Bally%26#39;s in May in the old worn south tower. NIce big rooms, plenty of towels, a view, and clean room, I loved it! I loved the location, it is quicker to get the strip from the south tower than some other casinos even with the walkways. I did not notice the ghosts.
