Free alcohol?

I have never been to Vegas and i am going there this Saturday i heard that you can get free drinks if you are playing. I am not much of a drinker and i was wondering what kinds of drinks can you get? i am into more girly type fruity drinks. Any suggestions?

do you have any suggestions for tipping?

thanks,

Free alcohol?

Anything you want.

Free alcohol?

Oops, dollar a drink.

cats, you can get any drink you want, within reason, if you are playing a table game or sitting at a slot machine or a video poker machine. there are limits - for example, most servers will not bring you more than one drink per person at a time.

$1 per drink is a standard tip - you may find that higher tips will lead to faster and more attentive service. You can tip with casino chips instead of cash if you like.

Usually isn%26#39;t a problem to get a ';blender '; drink like a pina colada or strawberry dacquiri.

Caution - It is not ';Free'; if you lose $20.00 just to get a ';Free'; $2.00 drink. The casino wins.

Same with other comps, again the casino wins.

PS after a few of the ';Free'; drinks your attention may blur and you play will likely suffer, again the casino wins.

A mixed drink is likely to be made weaker than you may like., again the casino wins.

I try to order something they cannot cut. A bottle of beer or a straight shot of booze. ,Again the casino wins as my play suffers but at least I get a buzz..

order whatever you want, just don%26#39;t ask the waitress if they have ';Miller'; or whatever. They have everything.

Also if you playing a penny machine and tipping $1.00, you probably will get the cheapest drinks.

Don%26#39;t forget, no matter what you drinking, Minimum tip is $1.00

Actually, chitown, I have not found the free drinks to be watered down as a general rule - and I would have expected them to be. But if you think about it, why should they water them down when as you say, if they get you tipsy you will probably lose more money gambling than the booze costs?

The drinks are made at the bar by the same bartenders that would make it if you were sitting at the bar paying for it. They normally use bottles with special tops designed to measure out exactly one shot of whatever booze it is. So they put the same standard amount of alcohol in the drinks.

If you prefer a stronger drink, ask the waitress to bring your drink in a small glass filled with ice. Since they will use the same amount of alcohol regardless, this will mean less of the non-alcoholic mixers will go in the glass, resulting in a stronger drink.

Stratton has a point. A penny spent by the casino on booze will provide an extra dollar in the machine once the booze fries a few more brain cells..

We just got back this week and had plenty of free booze and were not watered down, I had paralysers mostly and bulldogs.

Ive had more $100 beers than I can count.
