Hi--We%26#39;ll be in LV for Christmas and are looking for a good place for Christmas Dinner. We%26#39;d like a nice place, but not necessarily top of the line. We%26#39;re all adults, so don%26#39;t need a place that accomodates children. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, if anyone is familiar with the Hawthorn Suites that is next to the Desert Rose Resort, I%26#39;d like to hear your comments on it. We%26#39;re thinking about staying there as we%26#39;re traveling with our elderly doggie friend who is too old to stay in a kennel.
Thanks--Terry
Christmas Dinner %26amp; Hawthorn Suites?
Hi Rio,
We were in Vegas last Christmas and had trouble finding Christmas lunch. As Christmas day fell on a Sunday, the big hotels had Champagne Brunches from 11 onwards, but the queues were very lengthy - 2 hours for the Bellagio. We gave up and ended up at the Calypso Cafe in the Tropicana which was serving full Christmas lunch (turkey, stuffing sweet potato, pumpkin pie etc) for around $15 plus tax %26amp; drinks. It was nice enough and a fun %26#39;experience%26#39; for us Brits.
We%26#39;re returning this year for Christmas and are planning to book reservations for dinner!!!!
Enjoy!
Jo
