Plaza Hotel Rooms? Downtown

I%26#39;ve been to Vegas 11 times, always staying downtown. Have stayed at:: Golden Nugget, Four Queens, Fitzgerald%26#39;s and Fremont. I have never had a bad room yet. Will be staying at the Plaza for the first time in March. Have gambled there many times, but never stayed there. Any recommendations on which tower to ask for, or how to get a better room? I don%26#39;t expect anything fancy, just clean. I like spending some of my time during the day on the strip, but love downtown at night. My vacation is usually a ';girl%26#39;s getaway'; and I feel safe going from casino to casino downtown. The strip is so spread out, I don%26#39;t feel safe there at night. I know others will disagree with me. Everyone has a personal preference. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Plaza Hotel Rooms? Downtown

Have heard good and bad about the Plaza. I personally have gotten to like Downtown in a way, at least concerning a room. Have only stayed Downtown once, and it was off of Fremont at a non-casino Hotel.

I have stayed Downtown in the Four Queens ( 3 times),the Fremont (8 times) and the Plaza in September. It was a North Tower room that had new carpet, paint etc. It was clean and quiet--no complaints at all.

It all depends on what your looking for Rudy. Have you stayed in every hotel downtown? I hope so, otherwise how can you comment on them.

Rudy sounds like he is quite the man -about -town. Always up town, never staying with the comon folk.

some people are so annoying and rude. I am sure it will be fine. Maybe call and ask if they have any renovated rooms, then ask for it at check in. have fun
