What%26#39;s going on with Delta and US Air? I%26#39;m flying them to Vegas the first week of Dec. I hope all of this hostile takeover business doesn%26#39;t affect their flights.

Delta and I think USAirways/ America West are all under Federaly bankruptcy protection, so getting through all the legal hassle of approving the sale will take much longer than 1 month.
Delta will remain Delta for a while.
it is not a hostile takeover. us air has made an offer an delta is considering. nothing will be finalized for quite a while, much less in 3 weeks.
As others have already said don%26#39;t worry. It won%26#39;t happen anytime soon. It has been all over the news here as Delta has the monopoly of CVG (CIncinnati-Northern Kentucky). I just heard on the local news Northwest and United may try to get involved too, so 3 airlines with interests in Delta.......it will take some time to get it all worked out!
PS, I don%26#39;t understand the northwest thing, aren%26#39;t they in bankruptcy too?
Sue that makes the whole situation more complex. Aren%26#39;t all of those airlines in Chapter 13? Well maybe not United.

Delta has come down in price here at CVG, but we already got tix with AA out of Indy. The crazy thing is Delta%26#39;s flights out of Indy and Columbus connect here at CVG. They said on the news all this should be good for the consumer. I sure hope so, it would be nice to drive 10 minutes to the airport instead of 2 hours! Right now it is worth the drive to save big bucks!!!
How can US air taking over Delta be good for the consumer?
