Vegas Humidity?????

Okay, this may be a stupid question to some.

Pardon the lack of science rememberance ----- But, here goes.... The southern east coast is humid thus feeling hot.

Question --- with the humidity difference in Nevada does it feel hotter or cooler than the east coast. (high 60%26#39;s to low 70%26#39;s here is warm) ((to me anyway))

Any helpful advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

Vegas Humidity?????

You will hear a lot of people deal with the heat (in the summer when it reaches well above 100) ';Its not that bad, because its dry heat'; And, actually, I guess I agree. Where I live it gets very hot too, so Vegas heat never really bothers me.

Vegas Humidity?????

Charleston is my second home. I could eat every meal at peninsula grill, cru cafe, mix it up a little with oak and McCradys, basil and be so happy.

you will be amazed that LV is so dry. Nothing like our weather, I love it HOT and can walk all day in LV in the dry heat in the summer.

It will ';feel'; like the temp it is in fall/winter - sounds like you are going to LV soon? the lack of humidity is noticable to me in the summer months. I don%26#39;t notice much difference this time of year

Moisturizer of course, and your hair may react differently. My daughter in law has curly hair and her first trip she used her regular products and blow dry method and had hair a mile high!

I live in NJ and the humidity can be a killer at times, while it’s a dry heat in Vegas, I kind of think when it hits triple digits, hot is hot. If you’re sitting in the shade it’s not too bad, but if you’re walking on the boulevard the heat is a killer because it radiates from the building, pavement, and from up above.

Thanks. We are going next week. With the recent summer like weather we have had, I may need to pull out our shorts and tshirts instead of jeans%26amp;long sleeve shirts and my velour pants/jackets.

I will remember about the hair. Don%26#39;t won%26#39;t to be a bouffant head.

I lived in Phoenix Az. (same weather) for a couple years and I can tell you NJDudette hit the nail on the head. Hot is Hot.

The humidity does drag you down (I live in Virginia) but the lack of it will make you dehydrate quikly and when the sun sets, all heat will disapate with it.

Whenever you%26#39;re there, drink plenty of water and be sure to layer your clothes.

Just came back from Vegas and it was dry and nice and cool. I live in Hawaii, so it%26#39;s really humid here. I don%26#39;t remember sweating in Vegas. It is drier, so like the other posters mentioned, drink lots of water, also take some chapstick cause your lips make dry out and crack and additionally moisturizer for your face and lotion. My nose usually bleeds in Vegas so I take a nose moisturizer. The thing I like most about Vegas is that my allergies and asthma didn%26#39;t flare up.

If you%26#39;re in the casino the whole time, you%26#39;ll just be dealing with AC.

Okay, Lots of water, Layer clothes, Chapstick, Moisturizer %26amp; Lotion.

Looks like I will be packing a few summer shorts for the daytime and fall/layered clothes for night.

I must say I am looking forward to waking up and NOT having a headache from allergies. Although my husband does also get nose bleeds.

Oh, the most important thing to remember to pack - - - - -- money.

Thanks everyone.

We mostly go to vegas in August and I love the weather!

Yes~ hot is hot but it is different as in I don%26#39;t really sweat at all there.

Chapstick is a must and drink more than enough water that you think you need.

This time of year though it won%26#39;t be as bad.

We went in january and it was very pleasant during the day and got cool at night.

...and remember people, with no humidity comes everyones favourite in Vegas....Electric Shocks

I agree with you. Shorts during the day maybe with a light jacket and jeans/slacks at night. You should be fine. I always feel like it is cooler there because of the humidity difference. It is nice not to be all sweaty while taking in the sights. We also bought a small disposable cooler and filled it with water and other beverages to keep in our room on ice. That was also nice, who doesn%26#39;t enjoy a nice cold one while relaxing in there room. Hope you have a good trip. We are also going the end of the month. Good Luck.
