Ok, so I am going to Vegas on the 30th of Nov. until Dec. 3rd. I am meeting my parents and my aunt who is turing 60 there. Actually, the flight for my aunt is her present from my husband and I. He can%26#39;t go, but I couldn%26#39;t resist another opportunity to go to my favorite city with the family. The rooms are comped at the Flamingo and we are in some sort of slot tournament Fri. and Sat. Anyways, my flight arrives in Vegas at 5:30pm. I am considering changing it to arrive instead at 9:30 am and be on the same flight as the family. The difference however is $125 more. I%26#39;d like anyones opinion on if they think the extra money is worth arriving 8 hrs. earlier.
Thanks
Should I change my flight?
hun, it all depends on how much you want to be with your family.
AND can you afford it?
If the money is no big deal, the 8 extra hours in Vegas worth more than $125
Should I change my flight?
only you know what is important to you - you are an adult, so make your own decision.
how do you expect a complete bunch of strangers to make this type of decision for you?
decide what is more important to you in this instance and do whatever you want.
we can offer opinions on meals, hotels, and even off factual information such as locations and prices.
my opinion is that it is worth the $$ to spend time with the family - the 8 hr earlier in LV would mean nothing to me - family means everything.
Thanks, you are actually right about spending time with family. This trip will actually be fun since I%26#39;ll be going to shows everynight instead of clubs.
If your family lives far away from you and you can afford the extra amount then I would change.
It is always nice when I get to spend extra time with my sister. She is my only family member that doesn%26#39;t live close, so I don%26#39;t see her very often.
To me, even if I didn%26#39;t have the money I would try hard to come up with it, or just not spend as much gambling.
Good luck with your choice and have fun.
If you can afford it, do it! The more time in Vegas, the better!!!
And thank you for letting me make that decision for you. =)
It doesn%26#39;t happen often, but i have to agree with bridge...it%26#39;s all about what you can do vs. what you want.
This coming from a man who couldn%26#39;t decide between downtown and Orleans! %26lt;grin%26gt; You started this asking stuff!!!! lol
True Lowrance and mine was equally priced.
What airline are you flying? Is it possible to fly standby on the earlier flight for free or for a nominal fee?
On US Airways you could fly standby on the same day for free, if a seat was available on the earlier flight. Of course, you wouldn%26#39;t be able to make any firm plans for the eailer flight that way. Even if it looked like a pretty safe bet as the date approached you%26#39;d want to call the airline the night before the flight to check how full the flight is.
Just a thought.
Flying Southwest from Baltimore to Vegas. I%26#39;d be switching from a flight with one stop to one that is non-stop...another positive. I think I am going to go for it. I just needed some other opinions. Time with family is great and they%26#39;s all love it. Maybe I%26#39;ll surprise them and not tell them. Plus, I have justified it by not having to pay for the hotel. Thanks for all the advice. I have gotten so many great tips from this forum. I am addicted to it.
