Hooters or Tropicana

I saw someone had seen a rate for $39 a night for hooters.. I have just had an email with the Tropicana for the price. I was just wondering which hotel is better.

I don%26#39;t like tropicana, and never stayed at Hooters, but if it was me, I%26#39;ll stay at hooters (just because I hate tropicana)

I think that would depend on what type of room you get at the Trop for that money. If it%26#39;s only good on the ';garden'; rooms (original motel-style wings) I%26#39;d definitely say Hooters. The tower rooms haven%26#39;t been remodeled in a while, either, but they beat the garden rooms. Hooters will give you a more updated room, but less amenities than the Trop. It is very small by Vegas standards and has no real shows to speak of. The Trop has a nice pool area, shows, more restaurants, and a bigger casino. It%26#39;s only about a 3 minute walk between the two, with the Trop having slightly better Strip access. Some people put the Trop down, but I always seem to do well in the casino. I hope it survives this current wave of implode-and-rebuild.

Remember this, Hooters casino is a larger size Hooters restaurant, with slot machines in there. LOL

I would stay at the Tropicana. I have always had a nice room there, and the people have always been friendly. I hope this place survives the current idea of ';let%26#39;s replace but another LV Landmark with another over-the-top BLAND mega resort'; Good luck and have fun.

I would choose neither...but if I had to choose, I%26#39;d pick Hooters because the rooms are in better condition. Since the two properties are right next door, none of the Trop%26#39;s ';amenities'; should factor in since you can just walk over and enjoy them. The exception would be the pool, so if you%26#39;re going in the warmer months then that might be a reason to pick the Trop.

I agree with Alaskagambler. I would stay at the Trop. and also hope that it will survive the surge of corp mega resorts. I find them to have a lack of character. After you get passed the awe of their size they have a cold and sterilized feel to them.
