Excalibur...What's the best Tower Room with a nice View

Hi all...just 3 days before out first trip to Vegas. We are staying at the controversal hotel ';Excalibur';. For those of you who have stayed here before and enjoyed your stay....what room did you have and did it have a nice view.

Upon check-In ask for a romm in Tower 2 with a view of the Strip. The view is GREAT, but you do get some noise from the NYNY Roller Coaster until they shut it down at night. I am always out late, so no big deal. $20 trick always works at the Excalibur. If interetsted seach the topic here on the forum.

Without tipping a soul I was able to get a room in Tower 2 both times I stayed there in late 2005. Tower 2 consists of 2 sides actually....one facing north towards NYNY and the roller coaster and one facing west towards the beautiful mountains which look awesome right before sunset every night. Of course right below you is the parking lot, the freeway, and across from that In and Out Burger and Orleans.

I didn%26#39;t really care for a Strip View room as I wasn%26#39;t in the room that much anyway.

I was on the 21st Floor both times. They have an express elevator that splits the floors so you have 2 elevators going to 1 thru 18 and another going 19-25. I think 25 is the highest but I could be wrong.

Lastly you DON%26#39;T want a room next to the elevator shaft or equipment rooms. I got one and I spent 2-3 days there before I figured out where all this noise was coming from.

By the way the 21st is a completely NON SMOKING floor.
