Best Rooms to stay with Kids..Bellagio???

Hi,

We want to bring the kids(aged 10 and 7) to Vegas for four night next August. We%26#39;d love to stay in the Bellagio, but failing this we want to stay in a Five Star resort on the strip.

Question is - can anyone recommend a room type at the Bellagio or any other 5* hotel - where the kids can either be in a suite with us - not so we%26#39;re sleeping in the same room (as that can be akward) but such that we either get a roll-out bed for them in a sittign area or there is a separate area for them to sleep - so we can have our privacy.

Failing that I guess we will have to get two interconnecting rooms.

Hi

We take our kids with us but would not try to stay there with them as it is not at all kid friendly, although our kids were older when we first took them the youngest being 11, oldest 18 we shared our room with them (2 queens). No hotels have 2 bedrooms as standard, you would have to pay for a suite, this will be very expensive. Most hotels have connecting rooms but its usually on a first come first served basis.

There are no other 5* hotels on the strip but perhaps try the Four Seasons @ Mandalay Bay which may be more suitable for what you want. The Venitian has suites, we stayed in one last trip but it is only one room, you would not get any privacy there in a standard suite.

Good Luck

I was about to suggest the same thing that cliveasmith did,

Book your rooms over the phone, and mention that connecting rooms is required, they will say over the phone that they can not guarantee anything, but do tell them to please put the note down on your reservation.

I was able to get connecting rooms all 3 times I requested it. Twice at Monte Carlo, and once at the old Boardwalk. The major advantage of having connecting rooms is that you will have 2 bathrooms, compare to the normal 2 bathroom with a suite. You can also close the connecting doors (even lock it) when you need some privacy.

Never learn about proof reading. the normal 1 bathroom in a suite.

Cheers

yeah, but if they didn%26#39;t get the ajoining rooms, that would be a problem...with the kids only being 10 and 7 years old. I just don%26#39;t think that is a wise idea. Maybe your alternative is... ajoining rooms, or one room that you end up all sharing, which would mean no privacy, but I think better than having a 10 and 7 year old in a room by themselves.

In my experience hotels will never guarantee connecting rooms. Sometimes we get %26#39;em, sometimes we don%26#39;t. Several times we have gotten rooms across the hall from each other. Once they were on another floor.

You might ask to speak to a manager when you make the reservation and explain your situation and see if they will guarantee anything - and then get it in writing!

I don%26#39;t think August is a terrifically busy time in Vegas, so chances are good you%26#39;ll get what you want. But I wouldn%26#39;t take chances with a 7%26amp;10 yr old.

Bellagio and Wynn would be the least child friendly hotels. MC is more kid friendly and they do have a lazy river, however it is not a 5* facility. Four Seasons might suit you and they don%26#39;t have a casino. Or, you may want to consider the JW Marriott. There is also a 5* Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas.

The only thing I can think of ot guarantee the space and privacy you require is for you to book a suite at one of the hotels.

What did I say that was so wrong, you cant mention porn slappers or debauchery anymore.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

I think we will try to get two connecting rooms - if we are prepared to wait I am sure a hotel of the size of the Bellagio will eventually be able to give us them?

The cost of a suite will be prohibitive in my opinion.

Thanks again.
