Anything else to do out near Red Rock Canyon?

My husband and I are planing on going hiking at Red Rock Canyon during our upcoming stay, and I was wondering if there%26#39;s anything else out that way that%26#39;s worth a stop. I think we%26#39;re going to Aloha Kitchen for luch, so that%26#39;s taken care of. If anyone has any favorite trails I%26#39;d love to hear about those, too.

This is probably obvious, but I%26#39;d make time for a visit to Red Rock Casino before or after the trip the the canyon.

And I see you have a meal lined up already I still have to suggest you consider a stop at Hash House a go go. It%26#39;s at 6800 West Sahara Ave, near Rainbow. Be warned- the food is to die for but comes in HUGE portions. You may need to share or just plan to leave leftovers behind. They offer breakfast, lunch %26amp; dinner, so you could stop at any point during your excursion. Perhaps a hearty breakfast before you hit the trails?

Throw rocks at rattle snakes.

If we see rattlesnakes we%26#39;re running in the opposite direction, not sticking around to throw things at them! I was actually sort of hoping to see *something* interesting at Valley of Fire last year, and all we saw were tiny lizards.
