Venetian Refurbishment

Hey gang,

A few people have said that rooms in the original tower are getting a little tired looking. Am I to understand these rooms havent had a refurb since it was built back in 99??

They look pretty good to us...I will take a closer look when I am there this weekend...carpet..drapes etc..ok.

Venetian Refurbishment

When we were there in August, the bellman told us the rooms in the origianl tower were being redone beginning in Fall %26#39;06. They were hoping to have many of them done for the opening of the newest addition-- the Pallazo in 2007 . Can%26#39;t comment on the rooms because we stayed in the Venezia Tower which is newer and our room was in excellent shape. We did hear from others though that at the $$ the rooms in original section could use a re-do.

That is correct, nickdolphins. Hotel rooms get tired very quickly.

I had read that you were staying at the Venetian, then it was Rio, last I saw it was Bally%26#39;s.....trying out all three?

I was disappointed my last few times there - my room seemed quite worn. It used to be my favorite place to stay, but I%26#39;ve moved on to newer digs.

gabbygambler - lol, we cannot decide where we are staying due to costs, etc. Not great offers for end of Jan - we had a offer for Venetian the other day for $129 a night but it ends before we get there............i would have booked that straight away if it was valid for the end of Jan! Ideally I want Wynn and wife wants V, so 4 days in either in a perfect world..................However - due to costs and lack of offers (had none from Wynn so far) we are considering others, mainly cheaper hotels but still with really big rooms which others have suggested, ie - Rio, Bally%26#39;s, etc, etc................Also - since there are 3 of us (my wives friend) i would rather we be on the strip so that we can %26#39;do our own thing%26#39;, ie - I wouldnt want the ladies being reliant on me to drive them to strip, etc............hence South Point is a long shot even though i like the look of hotel and they have a great offer!!!

Hopefully book something soon, I cannot wait to get there :)
