Thank you guys for answering my 2 questions and giving me the best advice.
We decided to drive and stay 5 weeknights and save some money.
The money we save, we can spend in upgrading our hotel.
Somehow mid january is expencive, even weekdays.
Can you tell me which hotel will be a great experience for a couple in their mid 40s?
here are the choices;
paris $163/night
NYNY $163/night
MGM $165/night
Mirage $175/night
All others were over $200 and above our budget
Thank you guys
When are you going in mid-January? I rec%26#39;d an email offer from Bellagio with a few nights priced at $129.
Between the choices you listed above, I would probably choose Mirage - perfect for your age group and a nice hotel in a good location. My second choice would be Paris.
Thank you guys
I%26#39;d go with Paris. Have you gotten on the email lists for offers? Make your reservation, they will charge for one night. Then keep checking rates. You can always change. Since it is not pool weather you may try Barbary Coast. Small property, newly refurnished rooms and central to everything. So your driving, how long do you plan to take? I hope you don%26#39;t hit bad weather!
Yeah...I%26#39;d book, then watch the rates and call when they drop. Double check a few different weeks in January for the best week and rates.... your rates... are you looking at the hotels directly? Because if you are looking at Expedia or any of those places, the prices will be higher. Go directly to Paris Hotel Las Vegas (I thinks a Harrah%26#39;s site will come up) and do the same for any hotel in which you are interested, and check rates there. Book directly through the hotel no matter what!
I personally don%26#39;t like Paris for gambling, but my two choices for you will be Paris and Mirage (perfect for people in their 40s)
Also, if its not too late I will recommend two things:
1- If you are flexible with the date you are traveling, try the next few weeks%26#39; rates, some weeks are more expencive because of special activities. You might find rates 20% lower.
Also if you want to stay in a better hotel, stay 4 nights, and save one days rate and get a room for 200, that might give you Caesars which is a great place to stay, eat, gamble and shop
Kitty,
i just got this email from Mirage
November 15 to january 25, 2007
Deluxe Room rates starting at $75 per night (Sunday-Thursday) and $95 Weekends
Call drect at 866-291-1014
Mention offer code WNTR15
MGM is always my first choice on the strip and it connects with other Casinos by way of the monorail.
But if I remember right, it%26#39;s your first trip and you want to see as many casinos as possible. Paris is more centrally located and connected to Ballys. It%26#39;s a very nice hotel with easy access to the other hotels. I enjoyed my stay here. Make sure you don%26#39;t go when the huge convention is in town in early Jan. Check the convention website.
Other%26#39;s have said the Mirage is a good hotel for people in their 40%26#39;s, but I%26#39;ve never stayed there, just gambled a little.
I%26#39;ve never stayed at NYNY either, just gambled and rode the coaster. A couple of posters had complained of hearing the roller coaster in their room. Others have not.
It%26#39;s Vegas. You%26#39;re going to have a great experience no matter which one you choose!
I think Paris would be the best choice.
