Please Help With Booked Grand Canyon Tour

We%26#39;re going for the first time in a month, and my girlfriend wanted to do a helicopter tour of Grand Canyon. She went on-line and signed up with Grandcanyon.com (it may be Scenic Airlines, can%26#39;t really tell) for a plane, helicopter, and pontoon trip for $329 a person. Can you tell me if this company is OK? Is this a reasonable amount to pay? I read that some people on here are recommending Maverick, Sundance, and Papillon. Should we cancel and book one of them instead? We can cancel with no penalty right now. Any help thanks.

I feel terrible, but I%26#39;m constantly telling people to also post on the Grand Canyon forums. The people on there know their tour groups!! Give it a try and you%26#39;ll be surprised how many will respond back!

I%26#39;ve heard of the companies that you mentioned, but have never used any of them. We%26#39;re more into the backpacking part of it!!!

Good Luck!

Actually, I%26#39;ve seen that tour advertised for more, so $329 sounds like a pretty good deal. It wouldn%26#39;t hurt to shop around, especially if you have the time to do so. You%26#39;re right in that there are several suppliers you can book that tour with, all of whom are reputable companies who have been in business a long time. No matter who you go with, you%26#39;d be getting a very similar tour in that you%26#39;d go to the same place (Grand Canyon West) and do the same activities (plane, heli, pontoon boat). The tours will just be called different names (';The Grand Voyager,'; ';the Quest,'; etc.). Just make sure that you ';read the fine print'; as far as costs go.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I get to the Grand Canyon forum? I can%26#39;t find it.

It%26#39;s in the ARizona forum.

We did the Scenic Air tour in May and had no problems. I%26#39;m not a fan of small planes however the pilots were great and the experience exhilerating. On arrival the the GC we were transferred to a bus with a great tour guide/bus driver. Had approx 2 hours to walk around and then a wonderful buffet breakfast/lunch.

Our trip was booked online via destinationcoupon.com and paid approx $245 each. A very long but wonderful day. By the way we took the very early flight out, I think we were picked up at 4:00am.

Have a great time.

sundance is the best.

they have limo%26#39;s that pick you up and drop you off.

they are the best

I liked Sundance too, and the limo was fun.

I also liked Sundance, and the limo ride was a bonus.

Also liked the friendliness of their team.
