penny Slot Strategy

I don%26#39;t know if you guys have a strategy, when playing penny slot machines or not, but here is what I do...... Like to hear your strategy

I start with $20, If the machine I am playing is not HOT, I continue playing it for the whole $20, if I get the FREE Game bonus, I cash out and move to another machine.

If the machine is HOT, I play for as long as its hot, once it stopped, I try 5 more pulls and then cash out.

Also I always start with 2 credits per line, and do not increase unless the machine is HOT, then I increase to 5 credits per line.

How do you play the penny machines?

penny Slot Strategy

Sorry Blondie,

i don%26#39;t have any strategy.

I put some money in and if I like the machine I will continue playing, if not move to the next machine.

its much easier now that we don%26#39;t need to fill those buckets with coins. I love TITO

penny Slot Strategy

I play low low stakes, like 5-9 lines, one coin each. So, if I don%26#39;t hit anything after $1 I switch machines. I generally go for fun machines with neat bonus rounds that don%26#39;t require max bet to play.

I play max lines at one coin. If I an winning I will continue to play that machine and increase coins per line. If not, I move on. If I haven%26#39;t doubled the amount of money I brought, I eventually start a losing streak, run from machine to machine trying to find a hot one until I have lost my bankroll. If I hit a decent jackpot I always leave with it.

Here is my question.

Lets say you playing penny machines (20 or 25 lines) and one or two credit per line.

If you put a $20 in the machine and didn%26#39;t get the bonus Free games and stuff like that......will you move to a different machine or play another $20?

Basically, when do you give up on a machine?

My wife likes the penny slots and she has done better since she followed my strategy - play max lines , if you lose 7 - 9 times in a row , try another machine. We have found that the machines we have done good on are hot when you get on them , when the thing goes cold - cash out don%26#39;t stick around and expect to win on one machine all the time. It just seems if you are not getting even some paybacks the machine is cold. If you are getting bonus rounds give it some time .

I will usually set a limit - say I put $10 in a machine and have it up to $20 - if it gets down to my starting money with no more good action - time to move. Never dump more money into a machine that is not paying.

I play $1 machine also and have never won decent money on a machine more than once a day - I have slots that I have won $40 - 250 bucks on many different visits but I have never had a good win , left and come back and kept winning.

Greyhorse,

by saying ';play max lines , if you lose 7 - 9 times in a row , try another machine.';

Do you mean 7-9 times that you don%26#39;t win anything? or even if you win few credits (like 4) you will move on?

because winning 4 credits is like not winning at all

Hi Five6Blondie- This is the second time I%26#39;ve seen you mention this and I don%26#39;t get it- what do you mean by, ';FREE Game bonus?'; Are you saying you only like penny slots where the bonus games are free spins? Slot %26amp; VP machines treat each spin as a ';game'; but I doubt that%26#39;s what you%26#39;re talking about.

As for a strategy, that depends on the machine. The only thing I do with penny slots that%26#39;s different from $.25 %26amp; $1 machines is that I%26#39;ll frequently play fewer lines with more credits per line since the bonuses are often based on the credits per line figure. Unless bonus symbols have to be in a row on paylines I%26#39;d rather bet 5 credits on 9 line ($.45 per pull) than bet 3 credits on 15 lines (also $.45 per pull.) If the pay table says otherwise I%26#39;ll do what I think makes sense for theat particular machine. I don%26#39;t know that that really qualifies as a strategy, though.

Perhaps my best strategy is to play only as much as I can afford and if I happen to win some money I%26#39;ll try to mentally set a point at which I%26#39;ll stop playing a machine so that I walk away with a profit I%26#39;ll be happy with rather than play it all back into the machine. Of course, if I have time to kill, I%26#39;m waiting for a drink or if I just like the machine I may go against that strategy...

I agree on upping the bet per line while decreasing the # of lines. Some of the new penny machines have 80+ lines for max # of lines(';coyote moon'; and ';filthy rich'; come to mind). In those cases, I would bet 2-3 per line, but only play 15-20 lines. Seems to be a better payout in terms of both line winnings and bonus round winnings. I also like to stop the reel spin myself rather than letting the machine do it. Seems like I usually do better this way. If the machine stops paying out after a few spins, then I raise the line bet by 1. Sometimes that is enough to get it back in the ';groove';. If not, then I grab my ticket and find another machine.

The bigger question, though, is which casino on the strip has the best selection of penny slots? I was pleasantly surprised at Wynn%26#39;s selection of penny slots. Great drink service and nice selection of pennies. Not too shabby. Of course for penny heaven, Fiesta in Henderson is definitely worth a stop.

BigVegasFan

Thats exactly what I meant. I call it Free Games, because thats what the machines call it.

Every time you get the bonus, the machine says :';You have won 15 Free Games';

So you don%26#39;t like games like Jackpot Party where the bonus games have nothing to do with playing extra spins? How about a game like Damn Lumberjack Beavers where the bonus is a set of spins that are done automatically by the game with no interaction from you? (I didn%26#39;t really like the lack of interaction myself until it just kept going and going until I won about $180 on a single bonus game- my opinion changed really quickly at that point!)

What game is your current favorite? I know I%26#39;ve played games like that but I can%26#39;t recall any specifically.

Thanks.
