In another thread I read posts where people talked about how ';most casinos'; in Vegas offered no smoking areas. Now, I%26#39;ve been to Vegas 3-5 times a year since 2001 and I can%26#39;t recall a no smoking slot or table game section in any of the Vegas casinos with the exception of the poker rooms. I%26#39;ve seen non smoking areas in Indian and boat casinos in the midwest but I can%26#39;t remember any in Vegas. Am I missing them? Am I forgetting them? Which properties have areas like this?
Thanks.
No smoking areas?
Only place I%26#39;ve seen it is at the Harrahs in Laughlin. Can%26#39;t recall seeing this on any of the strip properties. Maybe I%26#39;m wrong?
No smoking areas?
Some casinos did have small no smoking sections many years ago( I remember Desert Inn and the Gold Coast, just to mention two of them). They did not last which means they weren%26#39;t that popular with people. It is also hard to have a no smoking section- the smoke just drifts over to the rest of the casino. There was one small no smoking casino-Silver City. It was kind of dumpy but it did manage to hang in there for years. I think Ross is now in its spot.
Yeah, I%26#39;ve NEVER seen a non-smoking area in a Vegas hotel. I%26#39;ve seen them at Foxwoods, but never in LV...
Mandalay Bay had no smoking BJ tables when I was there this month.
A few casinos have non-smoking pits, but the size will vary upon demand. In fact most will eliminate them on weekends.
SAF, Slots a Fun has non-smoking TABLES and does not allow clove cigs or cigars in the casino.
Beware, sitting on either end of a non-smoking table feels just like sitting at a smoking table there.
Sorry, only place i know of - def. a low roller type place
I was just at MGM last month, and I made a mental note to myself to include the fact that I saw some non-smoking BJ tables there in my Trip Report, and somehow the mental note got deleted! Yes, there were definitely at least a couple there, but being that I was there mid-week I never saw them open. My guess is that as demand increases on weekends, they have all the tables going. I don%26#39;t want to start anything here-this is just a prediction, not a passionate opinion: we will see more and more non-smoking areas in Vegas casinos as more laws go into effect in Nevada, nationwide, even worldwide. I personally favor segregation over an out-n-out ban, and I%26#39;m a non-smoker. I think that%26#39;s a win-win for both sides, but that%26#39;s a debate in another thread!
