In Vegas for business, staying at the Mirage. Wanted to see LOVE, we to buy tickets Sunday night when we arrived. Was told show was sold out Monday, dark Tuesday. Fortunately I remembered that I had read on TA about a standby line. The conceirge desk at the hotel told me the standby line is at 6pm for 7:30pm show. Lucky for me at 4:45pm when my conference ended for the day I went by the box office. There was already a standby line which started forming about 4pm. Waited in line until 5pm. At 5pm they give out one number for each party plus take your name and tell you to come back at 7:00pm.
Got number 18 and figured I probably didn%26#39;t have a shot but went back at 7pm. Made dinner reservations for 8pm figuring if we didn%26#39;t get into the show at least we had a plan for the evening. Turns out we were able to get into the show. Really enjoyed it.
So..tips: get in line at 4pm. You have to pretty much be willing to take what they have price wise. We bought our tickets at 7:25pm and rushed into the theater. You don%26#39;t get to choose your seat location or price. Also, if you have a number for the first show and don%26#39;t get in, you get first priority for a number for the 10:30 show.
There were a lot of people in the standby line at 7pm who didn%26#39;t even have a number. Hadn%26#39;t been told about going earlier to get a number. Hopefully this will help someone avoid that and get into what I thought was a great show.
