Gold Coast

Has anyone stayed at the Gold Coast or Barbary Coast? I am coming to Vegas 12/8/06.Gotta see Stevie Nicks!!! Just want to know if the rooms are as pictured, safe place to stay? Please reply. Thanks,Sarah

Gold Coast

I%26#39;ve not stayed there but a friend did when I was staying at another hotel back in March. He said the room was fine if basic. Also when I went to meet him there I couldn%26#39;t go up to his room as they had a security guard checking room cards, so only guest went allowed up. So seem enough.

Gold Coast

I have stayed at Gold Coast and not BC.

It is safe and the rooms are clean and just the basics.

BC has a better location, and I am 100% sure it is safe also.

Remember these are not ***** hotels, so don%26#39;t expect much

We%26#39;ve stayed at the Gold Coast previously.

Good rooms, good buffet, free shuttle service to Orleans and Barbary Coast - plus the other one way out ?SunCoast???(the last one is only for people staying at a Coast property. Which means you don%26#39;t need to taxi or rent a car to get the the strip.

Also, walk over to RIO and take their shuttle for Harrahs, Bally%26#39;s, etc.

The rooms at the Gold Coast are a bit different tho - most hotels, when you walk into the room the bathroom is first, then the beds. The Gold Coast as soon as you open the door you%26#39;re in the ';bedroom'; part - and the bathroom is at the outside wall. Not a problem - just when I sneak out in the morning trying not to wake my hubby - it%26#39;s a little more obvious (lol).

Have fun %26amp; enjoy!

I have stayed at both. They both are basic but very clean and very safe. The Coast properties always seem to have the friendliest and most helpful staff. I have never had a problem in either place. I do stay at the GC more often because they offer me comped rooms but either place is fine. The GC has a small bathroom but the window does open. It also has a tiny pool-which won%26#39;t be a problem in December. The rooms are as pictured-with a big TV screen (not plasma). The GC shuttle runs from 9:30 until about midnight and leaves you off at the Barbary Coast. It is right across the street from the Palms (Flamingo Road) and across the street from the Rio (Valley View). BC is right on the strip-also with a big screen TV and nice rooms. It also has Big Elvis. As long as you know you are not getting luxury rooms, you will be fine in either place.

For the price for the location i don%26#39;t think you can go wrong with the Barbary Coast, ok so its not like any of the big hotels with all the facilities but you are right in the middle of everything.

The rooms are really nice they have been remodelled over the last few years and have a victorian sort of theme plus a 42 plasma tv !!

I personally like the Barbary Coast and if you read the reviews for TA so does everyone else who has stayed there.

I have stayed at both properties and have not had any problems. Matter of fact, I will be staying at the Gold Coast December 17th for 3 nights. The Barbary Coast is a better location because it is located on the strip, but the Gold Coast does provide a shuttle to their sister properties free of charge. Both places have clean, decent sized rooms with plasma TVs. I am always impressed with their security. If you do not show your room key you are not getting to the elevators. For both properties the pictures on their websites are pretty accurate. You won%26#39;t go wrong choosing either property. You might want to check out the Orleans also. Good Luck!
