First time to Tahoe! (need info on nightlife, sights, etc)

My boyfriend and I got a hotel room in South Lake Tahoe for Thanksgiving weekend. We are not interested in Skiing or Snowboaring, so we dont care much if there is little snow. Mostly I am looking for romantic and adventure kind of things, like hiking and sightseeing. I have read about a dinner cruise on the lake, and am wondering if it is a good idea. We are a young couple (23 %26amp; 24) and would like to party a bit too, so any info on nighclubs or lounges would be great too! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would take the lake cruise during the day so you can really see the beauty of the lake and then have dinner at another place. My absolute faves are:

Evans www.evanstahoe.com

Cafe Fiore www.cafefiore.com

Both are really romantic. Cafe Fiore only has like 7 tables inside so it%26#39;s a really adult place. Evans is a mix of couples and groups of 6 or 8. The place is a small cottage and the service and food are superb.

At the Marina Riva Grill is good.

It%26#39;s hard to recommned hikes for that time of year. If there is no snow and the weather is decent here are some hikes worth taking:

Eagle Falls / Eagle Lake Trail starts at Eagle Falls Picnic Area, highway 89 across from Emerald Bay. Permits are required on this hike and a self-registration station is at the trailhead. The hike is only about 2 miles round trip to Eagle Lake (only about 1/3 mile to the falls); the terrain varies from steep to flat and crosses beautiful Eagle Falls on a steel footbridge.

Emerald Bay - Vikingsholm Trail starts at the parking area on the north side of Emerald Bay, on Highway 89. It%26#39;s a wide, well-maintained trail, but fairly steep, about 2½ miles round trip. At the bottom of the trail is a picnic area, as well as world-famous Vikingsholm, a replica of a Scandinavian castle.

Cascade Lake %26amp; Falls – Turn into the Bayview Campground across fro Emerald Bay Inspiration Point, drive to the end and park at the trailhead. Take the trail that veers left. Spectacular views of the 200 foot high falls and Cascade Lake can be seen from this short trail.

As far as nightlife. I%26#39;d look to the casinos for that. Also sometimes the bar at the Embassy Suites has good music.

Harvey%26#39;s Hotel Casino seemed to cater to the younger crowd when we were there. They had a Hard Rock Cafe inside it.
