We are a group of eight ladies in our 30s planning a trip to Vegas for next June. We have narrowed hotel choices down to either Palms or Bellagio. We like the looks of both hotels but are concerned Palms may be too young of a crowd for us. Pool is important to us, as our shopping and close proximity to nightlife. Any comments would be appreciated!
Bellagio or Palms for 30somethings??
I felt really isolated at the Palms. Certainly not close to shopping. I went to Rain for my bachelorette, and it was horrible. Haven%26#39;t stayed at Bellagio, but the location is perfect! Look at Bellagio and Mirage restaurants ';bachelorette party'; specials (can be used for any group of women only). Gets you dinner and VIP admission to their clubs for a set price.
Bellagio or Palms for 30somethings??
I do like the Palms but for what you guys are looking for it has to be Bellagio. It wins easily on pool and access to shopping as well as having one of the best overall locations in Vegas. Plenty of great nightlife around there too. Stay there and get a couple of cabs over to the Palms for your night out there.
This is not even close - choose Bellagio. Pools are much nicer, closer to shopping, and perfect location on the Strip with lots of clubs right there (Light, Pure etc.) You can easily catch the shuttle from Caesar%26#39;s to Rio and walk to Palms, or just take a cab over there to check out the nightlife. Bellagio is a nicer property to stay at.
Bellagio is what you want and you will love it! It%26#39;s a fabulous facility and the location can%26#39;t be beat! You can shop til you drop without needing to take a cab or drive! In fact, you will probably be able to walk to most anywhere you want to go while there.
I have been to Las Vegas numerous times and have stayed at both hotels you are interested in. I am 29. The Palms is for sure a younger crowd. Bellagio is an older crowd.
I don%26#39;t mean to try to sway your choice, but I would highly recommend the Wynn, The Hotel or The Four Seasons inside Mandalay.
While the Palms is nice, the pool is not very big and gets very crowded when its nice out and of course the weather is perfect in June.
The Bellagio is a very nice hotel but it really is just full of old people. I went there 3 years ago or so for a bachlor party. It was fun because all of us together but we all agreed we would never go back there.
The Wynn is awesome and if you stay in the tower room section, you get access to the private pool and private check in which is outstanding. You don%26#39;t have to fight any lines or worry about getting a chair at the pool. I was just there back in May for a bachelor party. We reserved a Salon Suite and connecting Tower Suites Room and it was awesome. We had 8 guys staying in those 2 rooms. They brought was roll away beds and there was plenty of room for all us. After that trip, we all agreed we would never stay anywhere else besides the Wynn.
The Hotel at Mandalay is a great choice as well, perfect for your age.
The Four Seasons at Mandalay is great as well. The private pool is incredible.

Ummm....seriously now...of COURSE you mean to sway her choice!
It%26#39;s all very well to recommend very expensive properties if you%26#39;re staying four to a room, but for those who aren%26#39;t doing the bachelor party thing, the calculus is a little different.
My experience has been that the Bellagio draws a crowd of all ages. Certainly it%26#39;s not the older people that you find at Light on a Saturday night. Maybe the reason you didn%26#39;t notice all the older, golfing types at Wynn is because it%26#39;s bigger, but let me assure you, the Wynn is not a young person%26#39;s hotel by any stretch. If anything, it has less of a ';fun'; vibe than Bellagio does. And while the Mandalay Bay hotels are very nice, and the property has a lot to see and do, being all the way on the far end of the Strip will mean either long walks for ladies in high heels or a lot of cab rides if they want to go anywhere else.
I was assuming since it was 8 ladies going that it was some sort of celebration or bachlorette party. And typically means that they would like to stay together.
The rooms I recommened at the Wynn are very expensive and I would not stay in those unless it was some sort of celebration. If I were going there with just my wife, we would just get a tower room at the Wynn.
I do agree with you that the Wynn has a much more ';fun'; vibe.
And to your cab comment, most ladies I know will take a cab if they are in high heels no matter where they are in Las Vegas. Walking across the street on the strip can take for ever.
Bellagio Bellagio Bellagio!

Maybe I should have been more clear. If you all want to stay together, the Wynn is a great choice if stay in a Salon Suite with a connection Tower room. This gives 2500 + Sq feet and 3 bathrooms.
If you don%26#39;t want to stay all together (meaning 2 per room), then rooms at The Hotel and rooms at the Four Seasons are great choices.
I am 30 something and was in vegas few weeks ago with my girlfriends. (We stayed at RIO)
We did visit palms, the crowd was a bit young for us
If money wasn%26#39;t a problem, we would have stayed at Bellagio for sure.
Other that being a better hotel, higher ';class';, bellagio has a great pool also.
My other choice would be Wynn
Stay away from Caesars, the average age is heigher than 40
I mean don%26#39;t stay there, but visit it by all means, great shopping and restaurant choices
