After looking round the sites and stuff all day i%26#39;d like to be able to relax and have a few drinks in the evening but i don%26#39;t always want to go into a bar with a show or loud music all the time
are there any good bars where I can just have a relaxing drink and a conversation with the rest of my party ?
Any Quite English Type Bars for the evening
Ah yes, a proper boozer for a quiet evening, well most of the casino%26#39;s will have a proper quiet pub, no music etc, let me know where your staying and i will try to hep further. Bellagio has a real nice one, just behind the check in station. Most of the bars open up and won%26#39;t have live music before 9PM or so. There are one or two british pubs on the strip, a pretty good irish boozer at the NY NY, but they have live music after 9 or 10, the food is really good there.
Most american bars will actually be music pubs, as most american public houses are not (oh my god i am going to get beaten up for this) set up for a intellectual conversation, more of a meat market type thing. Hope this helps, if your looking for a particular beer on tap, i have been to a few of the pubs, might be able to help you out there as well.
For conversation i would suggest
Parisian at Bellagio
Any Quite English Type Bars for the evening
Are you looking for a ';Quite English'; bar or a ';Quiet'; English bar?
There isn%26#39;t much in the way of British-style pubs in Las Vegas, and before someone recommendds the Crown and Anchor I%26#39;ll say it%26#39;s not the atmosphere you%26#39;re looking for.
But there are certainly places where you can have a quiet drink and conversation. As the other poster said, let us know where you%26#39;re staying and we can point you in the right direction.
Sherer
The majority of the hotels have really nice bars/lounges where you can sit and have a chat.
If it%26#39;s a real English style pub then there are a few, the Crown and Anchor on east Tropicana is apparently ok.

There was a pub north of the Strat %26amp; I think it was called Mad Dogs %26amp; Englishmen, and Ye Irish Porker in the plaza opposite the Strat. These would have suited you fine. Can anyone tell me if these are still open?If so I,ll be ther next week!
Try Napoleans in the Paris, its not what you call an architypal Englaish boozer but is a wonderful relaxing bar
Mad Dogs %26amp; Englishmen, located on Las Vegas Blvd. just out of Downtown towards the Strip, is no more.
Yep, just what I want to do when traveling. Look for a place that%26#39;s just like home.
God forbid you have some ignorant Americans making noise and having fun in a bar!
WoW! Shades of Vegas Man!!
No wally, it%26#39;s shades of Dr. Vegas.
I should appologize to Sherer, since my comment was not meant for them. It was meant for the individual who basically stated Americans don%26#39;t understand how to have ';quiet, intellectual conversation.';
My point is this. There are many places in Vegas that do have the atmosphere Sherer is looking for as well as many places that have loud people, music, etc. etc. and I%26#39;m sure it%26#39;s the same in the UK.
Yes I do take offense at Haz%26#39;s statement as anyone would if the same was said about their own country! (even Canadians j/k)
I would like to also point out Sherer never requested a ';proper'; British pub, (whatever that means) just a quiet place to have a drink.
Sorry about that,I read it that he wanted a quite English bar,I guess they are mostly Irish type places in LV, and out of these I would pick McMullens across the road from the Orleans to be the closest to what he requires, good English basic food %26amp; even a private room at the back.
