Wanted - total rewards number

checked online and the only way to sign up for total rewards seems to be in person at a casino. would like to access preferential hotel rates at paris.....

could i use someone else%26#39;s total rewards number?? ...any volunteers?

dont really know how the reward system works - maybe there reasons why someone would be unwilling to let me use their number to access better rates?

Wanted - total rewards number

Don%26#39;t think so, once you make a reservation using the Total Rewards card it has a notice that the person who is on the card must check in. I am not sure how much they enforce this but I am not willing to give out my number. They aren%26#39;t transferable!! And do you really think someone would post their number on here for all to use? I hope you have another plan.

Wanted - total rewards number

Yep~ no way would/should anyone give out their number.

People have played hard for the points on their card to post the number.

Even if someone did give you their number it wouldn%26#39;t work. When you get to Paris you have to show them your total rewards card along with a major credit card and the names have to match.

When you get there sign up for a card and then start to earn your own points.

thanks for explaining how it works. just to clarify - am not interested in using up anyone%26#39;s hard earned points. simply wanted to see if there was a way to access preferential rates before i can physically sign up myself...

looks like probably not....!

You definitely can%26#39;t use someone elses number for preferential room rates. Just booked Paris for next yr and couldn%26#39;t even use mine got married recently changed all my credit cards to my married name so would not match my booking, tried to change my name on the booking but it wouldn%26#39;t let me.

Good job all my previous visits have been with my hubby, used his instead.

you will not be able to use any card at another hotel system either. Meaning if some one gave you a MGM number, it would not fly. The reduced rate offers are made to gamblers based on points and other factors like how many trips a year to Las Vegas.

Except for the Aladdin who seems to let any one(without a card) take advantage of their offers, the reservation will be in the name of the card holder and it better match your id when you check in.

Also, If you receive comped rooms, do not try booking them and turn the room over to someone else to occupy. I know the MGM casinos will know immediately if the card holder has reservations at another of their hotels.

Perhaps the thing for you to do is to book the room you want. When you get to the hotel, go to the players club and get your players card before you check in. When you do, ask at the players club if it is possible to get the member%26#39;s rate on your room. They may tell you that you have to play first, but they may be able to adjust your room rate on check out. Of course, if you play enough with your card (and you can use it at all the Harrah%26#39;s properties) you may get the entire charge comped or at least some part of it. Just be sure you book directly with the hotel or they will not be able to make adjustments to your room rate, even though they can still comp meals and other things charged to your room.

thanks for additional info.

LVescape - sounds like a good way to go about it, will try that!

when I%26#39;ve checked at Harrah%26#39;s properties a room using my card number wasn%26#39;t any cheaper than without. if there are hot specials that%26#39;s prob. as cheap as it gets. if you want someone to check for you, post the dates you are interested in staying.
