Hi! I am considering booking a room at the bellagio for 4 nights in August. The room rates seem fairly reasonable at $199 a night, but we aren%26#39;t the type of people who enjoy elaborate, pricy food. Is there anywhere close by to eat that%26#39;s reasonable or would it be a hike? Also, me and my husband are in our late 20s and this will be our first trip to vegas celebrating our 5 year anniversary. Is there anywhere else you would recommend that has a nice pool, on the strip, $200 or less per night? Thanks so much!
Bellagio-cheap eats anywhere close?
Hey! You are going to have a BLAST!! Now... first of all... that price for Bellagio WILL come down for August. You will eventually be able to get it for most likely $149 a night. That said... the rooms and the hotel and the pool and the poolside cafe are terrific!! I think you would like it a lot. But,... I have to tell you.. I am similar to you in that I (and my mate) don%26#39;t like to eat at fancy places either and there wasn%26#39;t one place (other than the poolside cafe) that we wanted to eat at in Bellagio,. One night after being exhaused from walking the strip... we got to the room and wanted to get something to eat. To walk from our room out the front door and to a place that we thought would have some simple food was a real trek. It was only diagonal from Bellagio at Flamingo or Barbary Coast, but it felt like a mile from our room.
On the otherhand, you will likely be wandering away from your hotel during lunch and dinner times most days anyway, and may find it is fine to plan your meals accordingly, and eat a breakfast or two at the pool area.
As for other places.. Bellagio is great... and I liked Bally%26#39;s, but it won%26#39;t have the wow factor so much.

If you are a big coffee drinker look for a little gelato/coffee shop at Bellagio called Palio. You buy a travel mug filled with coffee on your first day for about $7 and for the rest of your trip they will refill it for free. Great deal ! I have heard they do the samew deal wioth sodas, but I don%26#39;t know that for a fact. I think they open around 6:30 or 7 am. There is another coffee place at Bellagio ( it may be the Coffee Bean- can%26#39;t remember) but Palio is the only one that has this deal- plus the mug makes a nice souvenir of your stay.
Hi,
You will have a wonderful vacation at the Bellagio but it is very expensive. Coffee shop deal is best one there - buying the mug %26amp; getting the refills.
Caesar%26#39;s next store has a food court with some reasonable options.
The Monte Carlo Brew Pub is very reasonable at decent prices for lunch or supper.
We just love the Paris brunch. Crepes %26amp; such. Also Mon Ami Gabi is a relatively reasonably priced restaurant in Paris as well.
It is worth the inconvenience IMO to stay at the Bellagio. It is a fantastic hotel %26amp; right smack dab in the centre of the strip.
Other hotel options with great pools - MGM Grand (West Wing or maybe The Signature rooms), Caesars and Mandalay Bay.
Check out cheapovegas.com - there is good info on hotels, pools %26amp; restaurants in each of the hotels/casinos.
Hope this helps,
Chris
Dude-
Not to be rude but...
If you aford the B, breakfast should not be a problem.
Enjoy
Were staying @ The Mirage in Aug. 07, never stayed there but from what I hear the pool is cool! Paying $163 p/n thru Expedia. The Flamingo goes for $116 p/n for Aug. 07 %26gt;Expedia. Great pool(Stayed Aug. 06 there. Once you go to Vegas you will want to keep coming back every year after! Good Luck, Have Fun!!!!!
Vegashomeboy(local expert) always reccommends Ballys sidewalk cafe, for good cheap food.
There%26#39;s cheap and then there%26#39;s reasonable when it comes to food.
You will love Bellagio, it will make your 5 year Anniversary a very special one, it%26#39;s a fabulous place!
Cafe Bellagio has excellent food that isn%26#39;t pricey or elaborate. I think what you want is something not over the top pricewise, good food without being extravagant?
Caesar%26#39;s Palace is close by, food court there and in the Forum Shops you have choices like Cheesecake Factory and Bertolini%26#39;s for nicer but not extravagant meals that are decently priced. There are also other choices in the Forum Shops. Paris is right across the street as is Bally%26#39;s. You will have no problems finding decent places that aren%26#39;t overly elaborate.
In addition to the other suggestions, I have to point your towards Max%26#39;s Cafe at Aladdin%26#39;s Desert Passage shops, assuming it%26#39;s still there once the place becomes Planet Hollywood. It%26#39;s a pretty easy walk straight across the street from the south end of the foountains and they offer $3.99 breakfast %26amp; lunch specials. I don%26#39;t know what the dinner menu is like. There are a few other affordable places among the reasonably prices stores in the mall too.
